He waited years to earn the uniform, wore it for just nine days, and then his life was tragically cut short. 🕊️🇳🇬

On 26 September 2026, Flying Officer IM Adeshina was commissioned into the Nigerian Air Force, officially beginning the career he had worked so hard to achieve.

He had even emerged as the Best Graduating Cadet of Branch Commission Course (BC) 3, marking him out as one of the standout cadets of his course.

But just nine days later, on 5 October 2026, tragedy struck. Flying Officer IM Adeshina was among the victims of the aircraft crash that occurred that day.

He had barely begun his journey as a commissioned officer before it was tragically cut short.

Behind the uniform was a son, a brother, a friend and a colleague — a young Nigerian whose promising career had only just begun.

Nine days. From commissioning to eternity. From a dream fulfilled to a life remembered.
