Former ITF DG dies

A former Director-General of the Industrial Training Fund (ITF), Professor Olugbemiro Akerejola, is dead.
Although details of his passing are still unclear, the family has confirmed the development. His younger brother, Demiloye Akerejola, announced the news in a statement on behalf of the Eminefo Royal Dynasty.

“With a heavy heart, I confirm and announce the death of Professor Olugbemiro Akerejola,” the statement read.

The renowned educationist, who hailed from Kogi State, was said to have died on Monday night. He was aged over 80.

Professor Akerejola was widely respected in the academic community and remembered for his service as the head of the ITF, where he contributed to shaping policies on manpower development in Nigeria.
