“Forget About That One!” Pastor Paul Enenche Reacts After Benue Deputy Governor Asks FCT Minister to Reimburse Dunamis
Pastor Paul Enenche has reacted after the Deputy Governor of Benue State appealed to the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) to reimburse Dunamis International Gospel Centre for the construction of a long-span bridge leading to the airport. The request was made during the commissioning of the bridge, where the Benue Deputy Governor acknowledged the role of God in making the project possible and appreciated the FCT Minister for approving its construction across the motorway leading to the airport.

Speaking at the event, the Deputy Governor said the credit for the project belonged to God Almighty.
“Today, even as we gather here for the commissioning of this bridge, the credit is not ours to take. The credit goes back to God Almighty, who made it possible,” he said.
While appreciating the FCT Minister for granting approval for the bridge project, the Deputy Governor made a direct appeal for the church to be reimbursed for the work it had carried out.
“I want to thank the Minister of FCT for giving the approval for this long-span bridge to be constructed across this motorway going to the airport,” he said.
He then turned to the FCT Minister with a request:
“Your Excellency, I would seek that you reimburse the Dunamis International Gospel Center for this work they have done, so that they can do more projects.”
The request attracted laughter and applause from the audience. The Deputy Governor also spoke about the importance of cooperation between government and religious institutions, saying that both should work together for the good of society.
“Government and the church work together for the good of society, and this is exactly what is manifesting in the FCT,” he stated.
Following the Deputy Governor’s appeal, Pastor Paul Enenche made a further appeal of his own to the FCT Minister. However, before stating what he wanted to ask for, the senior pastor made a humorous remark about the request that had just been made.
“I want to make one further appeal to His Excellency, the Minister. Just one more appeal. It’s not the one the Deputy Governor made; forget about that,” Enenche said.
His comment came after the Deputy Governor had appealed for the reimbursement of the money spent by Dunamis International Gospel Centre on the bridge. The moment drew attention during the commissioning, as the Deputy Governor’s request and Enenche’s response became part of the proceedings.
The Deputy Governor’s appeal was specifically for the FCT Minister to reimburse the church so that it could undertake more projects.
