The Federal Government has assured Nigerians that there are no plans to increase electricity tariffs for consumers connected to the national grid.

It dismissed reports claiming a tariff hike was imminent, describing them as false and urging the public to ignore the rumours.

The government also accused the opposition of spreading misinformation to mislead Nigerians.
