Ex-Force PRO Benjamin Hundeyin appointed as Mopol commander in Delta
Former Force Public Relations Officer, ACP Benjamin Hundeyin, has assumed a new role as the Commander of Police Mobile Force Squadron 31, Ogwashi-Uku, Delta State.
Photographs circulating online on Monday showed Hundeyin in a commanding officer uniform leading a delegation on a courtesy visit earlier this month to the Chairman of Aniocha South Local Government Area, Jude Chukwunwike, at the council secretariat, resurfacing, marking his first public appearance since leaving his position as Force spokesperson.
According to Fetuga Robert-Anyawu, a media aide to Delta Governor in a Facebook post, she described Hundeyin as the Commander of the Police Mobile Force (PMF) Squadron 31, Ogwashi-Uku, ACP Benjamin Hundeyin

During the visit, Hundeyin and his delegation met with the council chairman and other top local government officials as part of efforts to strengthen collaboration between the Police Mobile Force Squadron 31 and the local government on security.
Among those present at the meeting were the Vice Chairman of the council, Patricia Ekwutozam Adolue; the Council Secretary, Prince Tony Ebube; the Supervisory Councillor for Health, Austin Unorchie; and other government functionaries.
PUNCH Online reported that Hundeyin was appointed Force Public Relations Officer in September 2025 by the then Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun.

At the time of his appointment, he held the rank of Chief Superintendent of Police and was later promoted to Assistant Commissioner of Police.
Before becoming Force spokesperson, Hundeyin served as the spokesperson for the Lagos State Police Command and also worked at the Zone 2 Command Headquarters in Lagos.

In 2020, he was part of Nigeria’s contingent to the United Nations peacekeeping mission in Darfur, Sudan.
Hundeyin holds a degree in English from Lagos State University and a master’s degree in Legal Criminology and Security Psychology from the University of Ibadan.
He was redeployed following a police leadership reshuffle after the appointment of Inspector-General of Police Olatunji Disu.
