Emotional Moment As A Woman Wants Just Glimpse Of Peter Obi In Benin
During the eternal farewell ceremonies for Archbishop Augustine Akubeze in Benin City on Tuesday, August 12, one moment stood out and has since gone viral.
A woman, name unknown, was seen making every effort to get close to Mr. Peter Obi, the 2027 NDC Presidential candidate, who was in attendance.
Those who were there said her first goal was to get a photograph or a hug with Obi.
Failing that, she hoped — even desperately — to simply touch his clothes, in what may be described as a “touch the garment” moment.
But it did not happen inside the venue.
Undeterred, the woman pushed through the crowd and made her way to Obi’s vehicle. She braved all odds to get to the car and peered through the tinted window, just to catch a glimpse of the NDC Presidential candidate.
It was at that point that cameras picked her up.
Her determination and emotion have now made her case unique in the story of Obi’s visit to Edo State.
The video and photos quickly spread online, with many Nigerians describing her actions as a reflection of the deep connection and hope many citizens have attached to Obi ahead of 2027.
However, many are saying that Obi should find a way to reach out to the woman.
“That will not be too much a sacrifice,” an online commentator suggested, arguing that a simple acknowledgment would mean a lot to the woman
