Eid Al-Adha: Hon. Comr. Ifeanyi Onwurah Felicitates With Muslims, Calls for Peaceful Coexistence
The Deputy Coordinator of the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), Akwa South Chapter, Hon. Comrade Ifeanyi Onwurah, has extended heartfelt felicitations to Muslims across Nigeria as they celebrate this year’s Eid al-Adha.
In a goodwill message released on Friday, Comr. Onwurah congratulated the Muslim faithful for witnessing another Eid, which symbolizes sacrifice, devotion, and obedience to the will of Almighty Allah. He noted that Eid al-Adha offers a time for reflection, gratitude, and generosity, urging all Muslims to embody the core values of the celebration in their everyday lives.
“As our Muslim brothers and sisters mark this sacred festival, I join millions of Nigerians in celebrating with them. Eid al-Adha reminds us of the power of faith, unity, and the importance of showing love and compassion, not just to fellow Muslims but to all humanity,” Onwurah said.
He emphasized the importance of peaceful coexistence among Nigeria’s diverse ethnic and religious groups, stressing that national development can only be achieved in an atmosphere of peace, mutual respect, and understanding.
“We must see our differences as a source of strength rather than division. Now more than ever, Nigeria needs unity, tolerance, and collective resolve to overcome the challenges facing us. Let us, therefore, use this period to reach out to one another, promote peace in our communities, and build bridges of harmony,” he added.
Comr. Onwurah also called on Nigerian youth to be agents of peace and nation-building, reminding them that the future of the country lies in their hands. He commended the resilience of Nigerian Muslims and prayed that their sacrifices during this period be accepted.
He concluded by wishing all Muslims a joyous, safe, and spiritually fulfilling Eid al-Adha celebration
