Dr Oyebade Realigns with Aiyedatiwa Camp, Pledges Support for Tinubu’s Re-election
Former United States military personnel, Dr Adeniran Oyebade, has expressed his desire to realign with the political camp of Ondo State Governor, Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, pledging his support for the governor’s administration and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election project ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Oyebade made his intention known during a meeting with the Ondo State Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Hon. Babatunde Kolawole, on Tuesday, October 20, 2026.
Kolawole was delighted by the development, welcoming Oyebade’s decision to realign with the governor’s camp amid ongoing political consultations and realignments within the party ahead of the 2027 elections.
Explaining the reasons behind his decision, Oyebade noted that his relationship with Aiyedatiwa predated their political differences, adding that the factors that separated them in the past had now been resolved.
He said he had maintained a longstanding friendship with the governor before politics created a divide between them, expressing his readiness to reunite with Aiyedatiwa and support his administration.
The former military personnel also referenced his previous political engagements, including his role as Director General of the Olusola Oke campaign organisation and his support for former Ondo State Deputy Governor Agboola Ajayi. He noted that both political figures are now aligned with Aiyedatiwa.
According to Oyebade, his political journey has taken different turns over the years, but the current alignment of some of his former political associates with the governor has further strengthened his decision to return to the Aiyedatiwa camp.
He also recalled that when he returned to the APC, members of the governor’s faction were among those who welcomed him back into the party.
Oyebade expressed dissatisfaction with what he described as the neglect he experienced from the camp of the Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, during his official return to the APC.
He assured the governor of his support for the Aiyedatiwa administration, expressing his readiness to contribute to the government’s agenda.
Oyebade also pledged his commitment to President Tinubu’s re-election project, signalling his intention to support the APC-led political effort ahead of the 2027 presidential election.
