A shocking incident has occurred in Katsina State as a senior officer of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) was found dead in a hotel room under mysterious circumstances.
The deceased, identified as Assistant Superintendent of Customs (ASC) Lawal Tukur, was reportedly discovered lifeless in his hotel room in Katsina metropolis on Thursday morning.
What Happened
According to preliminary reports, the officer had checked into the hotel the previous night alongside three women. Sources claim the group spent several hours together before the women reportedly left the premises in the early hours of the morning.
Hotel staff became suspicious after noticing that Tukur had not emerged from his room long after checkout time. When efforts to reach him failed, management contacted the police. Officers who arrived at the scene forced the door open and found the customs officer motionless on the bed.
