Couple Rescued as Ondo Amotekun Foils Kidnappers’ Operation in Ilu-Abo

The Ondo State Security Network Agency, popularly known as Amotekun Corps, has successfully foiled a kidnapping incident and rescued two victims during a coordinated operation along the Ilu-Abo axis of Ondo State.

The rescue mission, carried out without the payment of ransom, underscores the corps’ ongoing efforts to strengthen security and tackle criminal activities across the state.

Ondo Amotekun foiled Kidnap Incident and rescued the victims, without ransom, at Ilu-abo Axis of the State.

Men of the emergency response team and the Ilu-Abo pin down unit led by the Corps Commander of the Ondo State Security Network Agency, Amotekun Corps, Akogun Adetunji Adeleye, FISN, FPA, DCG (RTD), KJW, JP aimed at strengthening internal security and combating violent crimes in Ondo State.

On Thursday, 21st May 2026, at about 1900 hours, in a recovery operation of Mr. and Mrs. Sanusi were recovered in a coordinated rescue operation.

Preliminary investigation reveals, that the victims were abducted from their residence as the Kidnappers were already hiding in their premises.

The Commander commends the effort of the gallant officers and men of the corps for their bravery during the operation while urging residents and commuters in the state to provide timely and actionable information to the Amotekun Corps, through the distress line 08079999989, as collective efforts, remain vital in the fight against crime.

He reiterates the Command’s unwavering commitment to safeguarding lives and property across Ondo State while thanking His Excellency Hon (Dr) Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa for his welfare packages for the personnel across the state.
