CAF Bans Estádio Nacional 24 de Setembro Over Poor Pitch After Nigeria’s 3-0 Defeat

CAF has reportedly banned Guinea-Bissau’s Estádio Nacional 24 de Setembro from hosting further AFCON 2027 qualifying matches following complaints over the poor state of the pitch during Nigeria’s 3-0 defeat.

CAF has also reportedly apologised to the NFF, explaining that the pitch had deteriorated after the stadium was inspected and approved to host the fixture. Guinea-Bissau had previously been asked to play their home games in Morocco before the venue was approved again after repairs.
