Busari Sues Accord, INEC, Seeks Court Order To Remove Oriyomi Hamzat As Governorship Candidate

… Says He Didn’t Contest Primary

A candidate for the governorship race for the 2027 general elections in Accord in Oyo State, Hon. Olakunle Busari, has approached the federal high court sitting in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital to strip his opponent, Mr Oriyomi Hamzat of the party’s governorship ticket.

Busari, in suit number: FHC/IB/CS/97/26, filed on his behalf by his counsel, Tunji Ogunrinde, SAN, is asking the court to direct the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to delist and remove the name of Hamzat which was clandestinely uploaded by a section of the leadership of Accord party from its portal and replace it with his name as the authentic and rightful governorship candidate of Accord for the 2027 general elections in Oyo State.
