Blessing CEO Confirms Son’s Death While in Custody, ₦56m Fundraising Appeal Sparks Controversy

Popular Nigerian relationship therapist and social media personality, Nkiru Blessing Okoro, popularly known as Blessing CEO, has reportedly lost her son while she remains in custody over ongoing legal proceedings.

The development has generated reactions on social media, with appeals for compassion for the grieving mother as she seeks an opportunity to pay her last respects to her son.

According to reports, actress Doris Ogala disclosed that Blessing CEO confirmed the death of her son during a conversation between them.

Meanwhile, a fundraising appeal attributed to the Isaamira Foundation called for ₦56 million, reportedly comprising ₦20 million connected to her bail conditions and ₦36 million relating to claims involving complainants in her ongoing legal matters.

However, the fundraising appeal has sparked controversy after Blessing CEO reportedly denied authorising anyone to solicit money on her behalf.

Reports also indicate that the cause of her son’s death has not been independently confirmed by an official source. Claims circulating online that the child died from an asthma attack should therefore be treated with caution.
