Bandits Kill Village Head, Four Others, Abduct 10 Residents In Zamfara Attack
Residents said this is the second time bandits have killed a village head in Kware, despite repeated ransom payments over time.
Bandits have killed the village head of Kware community alongside four other people and abducted 10 residents during an attack in Tsafe Local Government Area of Zamfara State.
Security analyst, Bakatsine, said the incident occurred in the evening when armed men invaded Kware village.
“Yesterday evening, bandits attacked Kware village in Tsafe LGA of Zamfara State, killing four people and abducting 10 others. Among those killed was the village head,” the security expert said.
The 10 abducted residents were taken away by the attackers during the raid, according to the analyst’s account of the incident.
Residents said this is the second time bandits have killed a village head in Kware, despite repeated ransom payments over time.
It was further stated that “Kware is reportedly just about 2 kilometres from Tsafe town, yet locals say there is no security presence in the area, leaving communities exposed to frequent attacks.”
SaharaReporters’ attempts to obtain comments from Yazid Abubakar, the Police Public Relations Officer of the Zamfara State Police Command, proved unsuccessful, as he neither answered calls nor responded to messages.
