I want to sincerely commend Governor Lucky Orimisan Ayedatiwa for the level of development he is bringing to our dear state. Over the past months, I have watched his actions, his pace, and his approach to governance, and I must say that I am genuinely impressed. Unlike leaders who rely on promises, Governor Ayedatiwa is showing his commitment through visible and measurable projects. His style is calm but deliberate, and he is gradually setting a new standard for responsible and progressive leadership in Ondo State.
The mobilization to site for the dualization of Ijoka Road is a major relief for our people, especially those who use that corridor every day. For many years, residents, motorists, and business owners along that axis have endured severe traffic congestion, narrow lanes, and constant delays. The area had become notorious for its bottlenecks. To finally see heavy machinery, engineers, and construction workers fully mobilized to begin the dualization is a sign that this administration listens to the cries of the people and responds with action. This is not just another road project; it is a transformative intervention that will open up the entire Ijoka axis, ease movement, improve commerce, and give Akure the urban facelift it deserves.
I am also equally delighted about mobilisation of the contractor to site for the completion of the dualisation of the Oda road, started by his predecessor, and the installation of streetlights on the Oda. That road is one of the fastest-growing residential and commercial corridors in Akure, and for a long time, poor lighting created security concerns for residents and travelers at night. Today, driving along that road reveals a completely different picture. The entire stretch is illuminated, providing better visibility, boosting security, and improving the general ambience of the environment. Those streetlights are not mere decorations; they are indicators of a government that understands the basic needs of its people — safety, comfort, and modern infrastructure. It shows intentional leadership.
Governor Ayedatiwa is quietly but steadily delivering projects that people can feel. These are not social media achievements or political gimmicks — these are real improvements that touch everyday lives. Whether it is in roads, lighting, environmental upgrades, or other ongoing interventions, the governor’s focus on practical development is clear.
