Atiku’s Son Joins Adamawa South Senatorial Race 

Adamu Atiku, son of President Atiku Abubakar, has declared his intention to contest the Adamawa South Senatorial District seat in the 2027 general elections under the African Democratic Congress.

In a statement issued on Friday, the former Adamawa State Commissioner for Works and Energy Development said the decision followed wide consultations, reflections and encouragement from constituents, stakeholders and well-meaning citizens across the district.

The declaration came weeks after Adamu resigned from the cabinet of Adamawa State Governor, Ahmadu Fintiri, following the latter’s defection to the ruling All Progressives Congress.
