APC Mandate Group Tackles Akindele’s Outburst, Says Ondo APC Unites Behind Tinubu
….As Mandate Group Sets 1m-Vote Target…..

The APC Mandate Group has fired back at former Ondo State House of Assembly Speaker, Rt. Hon. Jumoke Akindele, over what it described as an unwarranted attack on the party’s reconciliation committee chairman, Hon. Biyi Poroye, urging her to accept the outcome of the recently concluded APC direct primary with dignity and desist from what it termed divisive political theatrics.
The group in a press statement released to our heritage Reporter online maintained that the Ondo APC remains united and resolute ahead of the 2027 general elections, with an ambitious target of securing one million votes for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and delivering victory for all APC candidates in the state.

PRESS STATEMENT
Rt. HON. JUMOKE AKINDELE ’S OUTBURST: THE PROPHETESS OF DOOM MUST LOOK BEFORE SHE LEAPS
It has come to our attention that a Facebook post credited to Rt. Hon. Jumoke Akindele, a former PDP and Labour Party chieftain, has been circulating. Her brief and controversial tenure as Speaker continues to evoke strong recollections among discerning indigenes of Ondo State.
While the progressive family remains open to welcoming genuine defectors into its fold, such inclusion must not be mistaken for a license for newcomers to lecture longstanding stakeholders on how to conduct themselves within their own political home.
We find it deeply regrettable that Rt. Hon. Jumoke Akindele, whose political journey has been marked by multiple party affiliations, has chosen to disparage Hon. Biyi Poroye — a tested and consistent progressive with a commendable record of service. This unprovoked attack constitutes an affront to the progressive family. Hon. Biyi Poroye, the chairman of the reconciliation committee has repeatedly demonstrated the capacity and resilience required to navigate complex political challenges, in contrast to actions that have previously included public disparagement of her own elder sister, Princess Oladunni Catherine Odu, for perceived political advantage.
We are familiar with this pattern of conduct. Having suffered a decisive defeat in the recently concluded APC direct primary to succeed Distinguished Senator Jimoh Ibrahim, OFR, CFR, we urge Rt. Hon. Akindele to accept the outcome with dignity and manage her disappointment constructively.
Her widely publicised outreach to Senator Abdulaziz Yari in search of support, coupled with claims of endorsement that proved unfounded, reflected a clear desire of a classless politician seeking political relevance rather than substantive engagement. Despite her relatively recent entry into the APC, attempts to undermine established Progressives through divisive tactics were evident. Such conduct is unbecoming and does not reflect the values of the progressive family.
Any emerging hostility towards the All Progressives Congress and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is both misplaced and ultimately futile. The APC in Ondo State remains united, strong, and firmly positioned to deliver victory in the 2027 general elections. With a massive 1 million votes target for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and delivering all our candidates.
We advise against any further engagement in sensational or distractive political theatrics from Mrs. Jumoke. The people of Ondo State deserve elevated discourse not “Karimi politics or Suegbe performatives for attention”.
May God grant healing, wisdom, and a renewed sense of purpose to Mrs. Jumoke. Sadly her vituperation is best for the dustbins of history as APC Ondo State will record overwhelming votes, and moles like her will be put to shame.
