APC Governors’ Forum Under Hope Uzodinma Rejects Wike’s Rainbow Coalition, Backs President’s Reelection
The All Progressives Congress (APC) Governors’ Forum has unanimously resolved that its members will not participate in, support, or endorse any rainbow coalition alliance or political arrangement that could undermine the reelection of President Bola Tinubu, weaken the APC, or adversely affect any of the party’s candidates at all levels.
Governor Hope Uzodimma of Imo State, who chairs the forum, made the position clear after a meeting of APC governors held in Abuja. He stated that the governors agreed no arrangement capable of creating confusion, divided loyalty, or competing interests within the party would be entertained.
According to the resolution, the forum’s members are committed to safeguarding the unity and electoral strength of the APC ahead of future polls. The governors emphasised that any political alliance or coalition that risks fragmenting party support or distracting from the President’s reelection bid would be firmly rejected.
The decision underscores the forum’s determination to maintain internal cohesion and prioritise the success of APC candidates across all tiers of government.
