APC Fixes N20million For Senate Nomination Form, N10million For House Of Reps ahead of Bye-Elections
The sale of Expression of Interest, Nomination, and Delegate Forms is slated for Monday, July 7 to Thursday, July 10, 2025, with submission of completed forms also closing on July 10.
The ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has officially released its schedule of activities and timetable for the upcoming 2025 bye-elections across Nigeria, with the primary election process kicking off in July and the final vote scheduled for August 16, 2025.
A circular signed by the party’s National Organising Secretary, Sulaiman Muhammad Argungu, and seen by SaharaReporters, outlines elections in two senatorial districts, five federal constituencies, and nine state house of assembly seats.
The circular reads: “Members, whose names appear on the Register and are up to date in the payment of their membership dues over the past one year up to July 2025, will be eligible to vote and be voted for.”
According to the circular titled “SCHEDULE OF ACTIVITIES AND TIMETABLE FOR THE 2025 BYE-ELECTIONS”, the process begins with a notice of election to state chapters on Monday, June 30, while the revalidation/update of the membership register will commence from Tuesday, July 1 to Saturday, July 5, 2025.
The sale of Expression of Interest, Nomination, and Delegate Forms is slated for Monday, July 7 to Thursday, July 10, 2025, with submission of completed forms also closing on July 10.
Screening and publication of results will take place on Monday, July 14, followed by screening appeals on Wednesday, July 16.
The party will hold delegate congresses on Thursday, July 17, while appeals arising from those congresses will be addressed on Friday, July 18.
Primary elections will be conducted on Saturday, July 19, with appeals scheduled for the following day. A ratification congress to approve the primaries, in line with Article 84 (4)(b) & (c) of the Electoral Act 2022, is also planned for July 19.
The submission of nominated candidates’ list will run from Tuesday, July 22 to Saturday, July 26, which is also the date the final list of candidates will be published.
Campaign activities are expected to commence on the same day, Saturday, July 26, and end on Thursday, August 14, ahead of election day set for Saturday, August 16, 2025.
The party also revealed the fees for various elective offices. For Senate, aspirants are to pay Expression of Interest: ₦3 million; Nomination Fee: ₦17 million; Total: ₦20 million.
For the House of RepresentativesExpression of Interest: ₦1 million; Nomination Fee: ₦9 million; and Total: ₦10 million.
For State House of Assembly Expression of Interest: ₦500,000; Nomination Fee: ₦1.5 million and Total: ₦2 million.

In what appears to be a show of “inclusiveness,” the party said: “Female aspirants and Persons Living with Disabilities (PWD) are to purchase the Expression of Interest Form, while the Nomination Form is free.”
“Youths between the ages of 25 and 40 years are to purchase the Expression of Interest Form and enjoy a 50% discount on the Nomination Form.”
The party said delegate forms are to be sold for ₦5000 each, while financial party members eligible to elect delegates must have paid dues for not less than 3 months at a monthly rate of ₦200.
“All forms will be available for purchase at the party’s National Headquarters.”
