APC disqualifies serving Rivers’ federal lawmakers’ return tickets
The All Progressives Congress, APC, has again shown its propensity to sell-off its elective tickets to the highest bidders. In a published list late Friday of its cleared and uncleared candidates for the Federal House of Representatives which “primaries” are to hold tomorrow, Saturday, the party “cleared” only aspirants loyal to Mr. Nyesom Wike, Nigeria’s Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Abuja.
Whereas it “cleared” all aspirants sponsored by the Wike group, APC denied clearance to four returning Representatives, including Hon. Boma Goodhead, sister to His Highness Mujahideen Dokubo Asari.
Afraid of fair and transparent primaries, APC, in cahoot with the Wike group, has imposed an unofficial consensus arrangement on its party members in Rivers State.
The Neighbourhood Newspaper had reported a day ago that there were ongoing plots to buy-off the return tickets of House of Representatives Members from Rivers State supportive of Governor Siminalayi Fubara.
