APC call for cancellation of votes in Kano

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has demanded the cancellation of the by-election in Shanono-Bagwai constituency and the rerun in Ghari constituency of Kano State, citing violence and disruption at polling units.

In a statement issued on Saturday, APC National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, alleged that armed thugs attacked several voting centres, forcing voters to flee and leaving security operatives overwhelmed.

He argued that under the prevailing circumstances, the conduct of a free, fair, and credible election was impossible.
