Anybody Who Watched TV Last Night Would Cry, Where Somebody Brought His Mother To Play Politics-Wike
Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, has criticised ADC vice-presidential candidate Rotimi Amaechi over comments involving his late mother during a recent political interview.

In a video shared by his media aide, Wike said he was disappointed that Amaechi would involve his mother in politics, arguing that loved ones who have died should be allowed to rest peacefully.
He referred to a statement by Amaechi that his mother would be happy if the ADC wins the election. Wike questioned what that would mean if the party does not win, saying the comment had unnecessarily brought Amaechi’s late mother into political discussions.
The former Rivers State governor also stated that Amaechi’s mother would not be happy because, according to him, the ADC would not win the election.
Wike described the situation as unfortunate and said he believed people should respect their parents, especially those who have passed away.
His comments were made while reacting to Amaechi’s recent interview, where the ADC vice-presidential candidate discussed his political activities and the party’s plans ahead of the election.
In his words, “Anybody who watched television last night would cry, where somebody is bringing his own mother to play politics. Your mother that we thought should be resting peacefully.”
