‘Anybody Who Rigs Election, We Will Kill Him,’ Senator Omo-Agege Warns Ahead Of 2027 Elections, Declares ‘It’s Rig And Die’
Omo-Agege issued the warning during a campaign, accusing those who manipulate election results of undermining the future of Nigerians and their children.
Senator Ovie Omo-Agege, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) candidate for Delta Central Senatorial District, has warned anyone planning to rig the 2027 general election, declaring that those involved should be prepared to face the consequences.
Omo-Agege issued the warning during a campaign, accusing those who manipulate election results of undermining the future of Nigerians and their children.
He vowed that attempts to rig the election would not be tolerated, using the phrase “rig and die” to emphasise his position.
“I want to make news again: Anybody who rig election that day, we will kill him. Rig and die. If you don’t value your life, come and rig election,” he said.
“They are rigging your future, they are rigging the future of your children. We are waiting for them. Let them try. Rig and die. We are going to do it aura for aura. We are just looking at them.”
The senator also criticised the response often given to candidates who challenge alleged electoral fraud, particularly the advice that they should seek redress in court.
He argued that electoral manipulation threatens voters’ interests and the future of the country, warning those involved in the electoral process against undermining the will of the electorate.
