Akinwumi Abodunde get New Appointments, resign as Glow FM manager
Media personality, Akinwumi Abodunde, has been appointed as the Chief Executive Officer of OKIN Development Foundation.
His appointment, which takes effect from June 1, 2026, was announced following the Foundation’s third board meeting held in Lagos.
In a statement signed by the Secretary to the Board, Tolani Ogunleye, the Foundation said Abodunde’s selection was based on his proven track record in the media industry and his longstanding commitment to humanitarian causes.
The Board expressed confidence that his experience and passion would play a key role in driving the growth and impact of the organization.
The Foundation also commended Abodunde for his contributions to societal development over the years, noting that his leadership is expected to strengthen its mission and outreach.
Meanwhile, in his resignation letter as General Manager of Glow FM, Abodunde expressed gratitude to the management and staff of the station for the opportunity to serve. He highlighted some reforms initiated during his tenure and urged that such efforts be sustained.
He further emphasized the importance of granting his successor the independence needed to effectively manage and advance the organisation.
