Igbotako, Ondo State – June 6, 2025
A prominent chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and Special Aide to the Governor of Ondo State, Hon. Adetarami Olowolafe Mighty, has extended his heartfelt congratulations to Hon. Bisi Poroye on his recent appointment as the Chairman of the Ondo State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (OSOPADEC).
Hon. Adetarami, who hails from Igbotako Ward 2 in Okitipupa Local Government Area, described the appointment as well-deserved and timely, highlighting Poroye’s unwavering commitment to the development of the state and his notable contributions to the success of the APC.
In a statement made available to newsmen, Adetarami said, “The appointment of Hon. Bisi Poroye as the Chairman of OSOPADEC is a testament to his dedication, loyalty, and longstanding service to the party. It is also a recognition of his consistent support for Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa’s transformative vision for the state.”
He further emphasized that Poroye has played a key role in strengthening the party at various levels, particularly in the riverine and oil-producing communities where OSOPADEC’s impact is most crucial.
“This appointment is not just political; it is strategic. Hon. Poroye has the experience, capacity, and passion needed to steer OSOPADEC toward impactful development that will touch the lives of our people. I am confident he will bring renewed energy and purpose to the Commission,” he added.
Hon. Adetarami also commended Governor Aiyedatiwa for making what he termed a “wise and people-centered choice,” noting that the governor has continued to prioritize competence and loyalty in his administration’s appointments.
He called on stakeholders, traditional rulers, community leaders, and youths in the mandate areas to support Hon. Poroye in the discharge of his duties, assuring them that better days lie ahead for the oil-producing communities in Ondo State.
OSOPADEC was established to ensure that a percentage of the 13% oil derivation fund accruing to the state is used for the development of oil-producing areas.
With Hon. Poroye now at the helm, expectations are high among stakeholders for accelerated grassroots development and infrastructural renewal.
