Amidst the rumours making rounds that I, Kehinde Patrick OLORUNYEMI ‘Afrika’, have stepped down from the contest, I wish to clearly assure my supporters, political allies, and the good people of Akure South Constituency 1 that I remain fully committed to our collective vision and aspiration.
At this critical moment, I am currently engaged in wide consultations with respected leaders and stakeholders within our great party, the PDP, in order to carefully determine the right and most strategic path towards securing the nomination form and protecting the interest of our movement.
As we all know, the leadership tussle within the PDP has created several political uncertainties in recent times. Therefore, every serious-minded aspirant and political movement must act with wisdom, patience, and proper understanding of the situation before taking major decisions.
I want to assure every member of our political family that no decision will be taken without deep consultations and consideration of the future of our constituency and the party at large.
