ADC Crisis Deepens: “We’ll Send Atiku, Obi, Aregbesola Out” – Rep Abejide
A member of the House of Representatives, Leke Abejide, has said that former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, former Anambra State Governor Peter Obi, and former Osun State Governor Rauf Aregbesola could be forced out of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) if the party’s structure is not respected.
Abejide stated that the party has an existing leadership structure and constitutional guidelines that must be followed by all members, including new entrants and political heavyweights joining the party.
He stressed that the ADC is not a platform that can be taken over by any group or coalition without proper process, adding that the party leadership is determined to protect its structure and internal democracy.
The lawmaker’s statement is coming amid ongoing political realignments and coalition talks among opposition politicians ahead of future elections, a development that continues to generate reactions across the political space.
Political observers believe the internal situation within the ADC could play a major role in shaping opposition alliances and Nigeria’s political landscape in the coming election cycle.
