ADC ADJUSTS PRIMARY TIMETABLE, CUTS NOMINATION FEES; REDUCES PRESIDENTIAL FORM
The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has announced an adjustment to its 2026 primary election timetable, alongside a reduction in the cost of nomination forms for aspirants. The party said the changes are aimed at improving participation and streamlining its internal election process.
According to the revised schedule, the sale of nomination forms will begin on May 5 and end on May 10, while submission of completed forms is set for May 11 to May 13. The party also confirmed that the presidential nomination form will now cost ₦90 million, following a downward review.
The ADC explained that the adjustments are part of preparations for a more structured primary election exercise ahead of the next general election cycle. While the fee reduction is expected to ease entry for some aspirants, the party maintains that the process will remain competitive and tightly regulated.
