ACN alliance with nPDP, others fetched Buhari 3.2 million votes in 2015

A former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha, said on Wednesday the 2013 alliance between the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) and the New Peoples Democratic Party (nPDP) contributed 3.2:million votes to former President Muhammadu Buhari’s victory in the 2015 election.

The ACN led by President Bola Tinubu at the time and nPDP, a breakaway faction of the then ruling party and led by former Vice President Atiku Abubakar worked together with the defunct All Nigeria Peoples Party (ANPP) and Congress for Progressive Change (CPC) to form the All Progressive Congress (APC) ahead of the 2015 election.
