The United States Government has announced reward offers totalling up to $50 million for information leading to the arrests and/or convictions of the top three leaders of Tren de Aragua (TdA), a violent Venezuelan gang designated as a Foreign Terrorist Organization (FTO) by the Trump administration.
The announcement was made on Thursday by the Department of State’s Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs, in coordination with the FBI, DEA, and the Department of Justice, under the Transnational Organized Crime Rewards Program (TOCRP).
According to a press statement released by the agency, the bounties target the leadership of the brutal syndicate, which was designated as an FTO by the Trump Administration last year.
The U.S. government is offering up to $20 million for information leading to the capture of Yohan José Romero, also known as “Yohan Petrica,” “Petrica,” “Viejo,” and “Darwin.” This represents a massive increase from a previous $4 million offer.

According to court documents, Romero is the current leader of TdA and directly dictates the group’s operations, which include international narcotrafficking, illegal gold mining in Venezuela, and gruesome murders.
Mosquera Serrano and Rivas Núñez both serve as second-in-command to Romero. While Mosquera Serrano oversees TdA’s operations in the United States, Colombia, and Central America, Rivas Núñez controls the gang’s activities in Venezuela.
The U.S. authorities noted that Mosquera Serrano has directed multiple acts of violence involving robbery, extortion, and kidnapping.
On July 29, 2026, a superseding indictment filed in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas charged the three cartel leaders with conspiracy to provide, providing, and attempting to provide material support to a Foreign Terrorist Organization.
Mosquera Serrano was slapped with additional charges of international cocaine distribution and international cocaine distribution conspiracy.
The State Department urged anyone with information on the whereabouts of these fugitives to contact the FBI at +1-281-787-9939 via phone call, text, WhatsApp, or Telegram.
Individuals outside the U.S. can also contact the nearest U.S. embassy or consulate, while those within the U.S. can reach out to their local FBI office.
“ALL IDENTITIES ARE KEPT STRICTLY CONFIDENTIAL,” the State Department assured, adding that government officials and employees are not eligible for the rewards based on information provided in the course of official duty.
