JUST IN: Police Ra!d on Osun Student Hostel Sparks 0utrage as Zone 11 Orders Investigation

Operatives of the Nigeria Police Force Cybercrime Unit have come under public crit!cism following a controversial ra!d on an off-campus student hostel in Osun State.

Reports and circulating video footage from the operation showed alleged phys!cal confrontations between police officers and hostel occupants, with some students reportedly subjected to rovgh handling.

There were also all3gations that officers demanded access to occupants’ ph0nes and laptops dvring the operation.

The inc*dent has sparked widespread 0utrage on social media, with many Nigerians questioning the l3gality and manner in which the raid was conducted. Cr!tics have particularly raised concerns over the alleged ab$ence of search ₩arrants and possible vi0lations of the constitutional rights of the students.

Following the public reaction, the Assistant Inspector-General of Police in charge of Zone 11, Osogbo, reportedly ordered an investigation into the inc*dent.

The police authority also confirmed that the officers involved in the operation have been identified, while reiterating that the Nigeria Police Force does not condone brvtality or unprofessional conduct.

The invest!gation is expected to establish what happened during the raid and det3rmine whether the officers involved v!olated established police procedures.
