Passport Renewal Applicant Praises Swift, Organised NIS Exercise in London,Commends interior Minister

A Nigerian passport renewal applicant in London, Adekunle Adeusi, has praised the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) for what he described as a swift and well-organised passport intervention exercise.

Adeusi, who attended the ongoing exercise in London, said he arrived with some concerns after seeing reports about disruptions at the venue the previous day.
According to him, he initially expected to encounter similar challenges but was pleasantly surprised by the level of organisation at the venue.
He explained that his expectations had been shaped by what he saw online, adding that he later realised that some of the challenges experienced during the previous day’s exercise were allegedly linked to applicants who arrived without appointments.
Adeusi said people without appointments had reportedly arrived the previous day and disrupted the process, creating difficulties for those who were scheduled to be attended to.
He said he therefore expected similar disruptions when he arrived for his appointment, but found the process orderly and efficient.
The applicant confirmed that he had been attended to and completed the necessary stages of the passport renewal process.
Adeusi’s experience highlights the importance of applicants adhering to scheduled appointments and following the procedures put in place by the NIS to ensure a smooth and efficient passport renewal exercise.
The special passport intervention exercise in the United Kingdom was introduced to provide additional opportunities for Nigerians in the UK to process their passport applications and renewals.
