Hisbah Police Arrest 22 Alleged Crossdressers In Parts Of Kano

The Kano State Hisbah Board has said its operatives have arrested 22 suspected crossdressers in different parts of the state, following complaints from residents.
the Deputy Commander General of the Board, Dr Mujahid Aminuddeen, confirmed the arrests, saying the suspects were apprehended around Zoo Road, Court Road, and other neighbouring areas.
He said most of those arrested entered Kano from other states.
According to him, the suspects, comprising 10 women and 12 men, admitted to engaging in hook-up activities and drug abuse.

He added that investigations were ongoing and those found guilty would face the law.
Aminuddeen reiterated that Hisbah would not tolerate acts of immorality in Kano, adding that the board would intensify its crackdown on such practices.

The operation, carried out at Stephrica Guest Palace in the Kureken Sani area of Kumbotso Local Government Area, followed intelligence reports from residents who raised concerns about activities taking place at the facility.
