Governor Okpebholo names advisers on traditional matters, CSOs
Edo State Governor, Monday Okpebholo, has approved the appointment of Chief Emmanuel Iyase as Special Adviser on Traditional Matters for Edo South.

The governor also appointed Emmanuel Sunday as Special Adviser on Civil Society Organisations and Non-Governmental Organisations.
The appointments were contained in a Government Special Announcement dated September 3, 2026, signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Umar Musa Ikhilor.
According to the statement shaed on the state’s official handle on Facebook, the appointments are expected to strengthen the administration’s engagement with traditional institutions, civil society organisations and non-governmental organisations.
“The newly appointed officials are expected to bring their wealth of experience, expertise and commitment to bear in the discharge of their respective responsibilities and in furtherance of the administration’s developmental agenda,” the statement said.
The government added that the appointments took immediate effect.
