Bandits Unleash Bloody Rampage in Zamfara, Killing 20 in Fresh Attack.

At least 20 people were killed after heavily armed bandits stormed several villages in Zamfara State, northwestern Nigeria, attacking residents indiscriminately in the latest escalation of the country’s worsening insecurity.

The assault comes amid rising incidents of kidnappings, cattle rustling, and deadly raids across northwest and central Nigeria, as security forces continue operations against criminal gangs and Boko Haram-linked militants who generated more than $1.6 million in ransom payments in 2024.
