Government Raises Minimum Pension to ₦50,000
Adamawa State Governor, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, has approved a new minimum monthly pension of ₦50,000 for retired civil servants, effective from next month.
Speaking on ABC Yola’s Taba Kidi Taba Karatu programme on Friday, the governor said no pensioner should earn less than ₦50,000, describing the previous payments of under ₦10,000 as unacceptable.
Fintiri also pledged to complete all ongoing projects before leaving office, announced plans to begin the dualisation of the Jimeta Bypass in October, and said his administration is working to deliver 25MW of solar power. He further assured residents of continued investment in education, security, and infrastructure across the state.
