Top Former Nigerian Senator Dies 
A former Senator who represented Ekiti South Senatorial District, Senator Anthony Olumuyiwa Adeniyi (SAN), popularly known as Tony Adeniyi, has passed away.
Senator Adeniyi was a distinguished legal practitioner, respected politician, and a proud son of Ejimo Compound, Ikere-Ekiti. Throughout his lifetime, he made significant contributions to both the legal profession and public service.
He represented Ekiti South Senatorial District in the Nigerian Senate during the 7th National Assembly (2011–2015) under the platform of the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN), which later merged into the All Progressives Congress (APC).
A highly respected lawyer, Senator Adeniyi attained the prestigious rank of Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) in recognition of his outstanding contributions to the legal profession.
Before his tenure in the Senate, he was actively involved in the struggle for human rights and served as Chairman of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Akure Branch, from 1990 to 1992.
