Security Operatives Uncover Alleged Baby Factory, Child Trafficking Ring in Anambra

Security operatives in Anambra State have reportedly uncovered a baby factory and child trafficking operation said to have been running for over seven years in Uga, Aguata Local Government Area.

The prime suspect, identified as Mrs. Chinaza Elias, alongside her husband, is alleged to have operated the facility unnoticed for 7 years before security agencies recently discovered the compound during an investigation.

According to preliminary findings, the suspects allegedly purchased young children from Aba, Abia State, for amounts said to be as high as ₦800,000 per child before moving them to the facility in Anambra State.

Investigators reportedly observed that many of the children found within the compound bore the surname “Elias,” a development that has raised serious suspicions of identity falsification and an organized child trafficking network.

Further disturbing claims from preliminary investigations suggest that older children who could not be sold were  kept within the facility and later forced into producing more babies as the illegal operation  expanded over time.

The incident has sparked outrage and disbelief among residents, with many questioning how such an operation could  thrive for years in a community without detection.

Authorities are expected to continue investigations as efforts intensify to uncover the full extent of the alleged trafficking network and identify possible accomplices.
