Governor orders security agencies to shoot destroyers of farmlands on sight.
Plateau State Governor, Barrister Caleb Mutfwang has handed a shoot-on-sight order to security agencies against anyone found destroying farmlands.
This is as he condemned the harbouring of terrorists by individuals who should be doing everything to protect their communities as well as the rustling of cattle, describing it as a “foolish” thing to do.
He made these positions known during a town hall in Barkin Ladi after another round of attacks that claimed multiple lives.
He charged community leaders to as a matter of urgency, revert to the old template of amicably resolving disputes as they arose rather than allowing individuals to take the laws into their hands. #NasarawaToTheWorld
