The Minister of Power, Adebayo Adelabu, has defended his ambition to contest the 2027 governorship election in Oyo State under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), declaring that his aspiration is rooted in service rather than personal gain.
Speaking amid growing political conversations ahead of the next election cycle, Adelabu dismissed suggestions that his governorship bid is driven by selfish interests. Instead, he emphasized that his long-standing involvement in public service and governance has adequately prepared him for the task of leading the state.
