Wike fires back at Bala Mohammed, reveals what he told him about Tinubu in 2022
The minister of federal capital territory (FCT) Abuja, Nyesom Wike has tonguelashed Bauchi state governor, Bala Mohammed, describing him as dishonest and inconsistent.

Wike made the remark today while inspecting road construction project around Jahi and Kuje, responding to Bala Mohammed’s claim that he is being used to sabotage the People’s Democratic Party amid its protracted leadership crisis.
The FCT minister described governor Bala Mohammed’s allegations against him as “very embarrassing”, stating that governor Bala Mohammed is inconsistent in his stance.
It’s very embarrassing. He (Bala Mohammed) says one thing in the morning, in the afternoon he says a different thing. But for us, we are very happy that he has told Nigerians who he is —that he’s never been stable,” Wike stated.
He explained that during the reconciliation talk with governor Bala Mohammed, the Bauchi state governor requested that his faction should produce the party’s national secretary and he responded by reminding him that his faction has been “conquered” and that he should negotiate from a position of weakness and not of strength
You’re already conquered, you lost. You’re talking from a weak point and you want to demand secretary? That is not done,” Wike stated.
Wike added that governor Bala Mohammed in 2022, in wake of the 2023 general elections, came to him to persuade him that they should work against the PDP’s 2023 presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar by supporting president Tinubu’s presidential ambition at the expense of Atiku. According to Wike, Bala Mohammed would in the following days, change his mind.
Former governor Nyesom Wike thereafter boasted that the just concluded national convention by his faction of the PDP shows that the party’s relevance and popularity has not diminished.
