JUST IN: Soludo Appoints Tobechukwu Nweke SAN As Attorney General Of Anambra
Charles Soludo has appointed Tobechukwu Nweke (SAN) as the new Attorney General of Anambra State. The announcement was made on March 24, 2026.
A native of Nsugbe, Anambra East LGA, Nweke is a distinguished legal practitioner, Senior Advocate of Nigeria, and Chartered Arbitrator. He earned his law degree from University of Nigeria and was called to the Nigerian Bar in 2009.
His career spans notable achievements—from rising to Managing Solicitor at Onyechi Ikpeazu SAN & Co. to earning global certifications from University of Oxford and Harvard University. He also holds an LL.M from Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University.
In 2024, he was elevated to SAN at just 39, making him one of the youngest in Nigeria and the youngest from Anambra State.
Before this appointment, he served as Special Adviser on Legal Matters to the Governor.
Notably, this marks the first time in 20 years that an SAN will serve as Attorney General in Anambra State.
