Building Paradise on Earth: Let’s Choose Love Over Violence – Banji Alabi Esq
Good Morning Friends 🌟
As a born-again Christian, I’m compelled to reconcile faith with facts. We often preach heaven as the ultimate goal, yet nobody wants to die. Isn’t that contradictory? Our pastors might say heaven is good, but let’s be honest, nobody’s been there before. The Bible itself uses death (the gateway to heaven) as a form of punishment (1 Kings 13:22, Jeremiah 26:8-15). Meanwhile, longevity on earth is often a reward (Genesis 25:7-8, Psalm 91:16).
When Jesus Christ learned about the death of His friend Lazarus, the Bible says, “Jesus wept!” Why should He do that if heaven is the ultimate? Jesus Christ showed us a better way – focusing on doing good here on earth.
He healed the blind, made the lame walk, and preached good news to the poor (Matthew 11:5).
When faced with death, He prayed, “Let this cup pass from me… yet, your will be done” (Luke 22:42).
This also reinforces my conviction that the world may be better than Heaven after all. Otherwise, why should our Lord be reluctant to return home? “Home sweet home”? Perhaps it’s time to shift our focus. Heaven might be sweet, but let’s make earth a better place while we’re here. Let’s follow Jesus’ example and do good, making the most of our time on this earth.
Let’s leave a lasting impact! Let’s invest in legacy projects that’ll outlive us, spreading love, kindness, and goodness long after we’re gone.
Let’s build a legacy that’ll whisper our names in blessings, years from now.
The story of Lazarus is one of the most powerful in the Bible. Lazarus, a friend of Jesus, lived in Bethany with his sisters Mary and Martha. When Lazarus fell sick, they sent for Jesus, but He delayed His arrival. By the time Jesus got there, Lazarus had died.
Jesus was deeply moved and wept, showing His humanity and compassion (John 11:35). He then went to the tomb and called out, “Lazarus, come out!” (John 11:43), and miraculously, Lazarus came back to life.
This story showcases Jesus’ power over death and His love for His friends. It also highlights the hope of resurrection and life that He offers.
Question!!!! If the world isn’t better than Heaven, why did our Lord Jesus Christ recall His best friend back to the world?

The promise of paradise shouldn’t come with a price tag of pain. True faith isn’t about grand gestures of violence, but quiet acts of love. It’s about building bridges, not walls.
Let’s shatter the myth that brutality is a ticket to heaven. Let’s choose life, in all its beauty and fragility. We can craft a paradise on earth, one smile, one helping hand, one forgiving heart at a time. No more bloodstained altars.
No more innocent lives lost in the name of God. Let’s rise above the noise, above the hate, and choose love.
We are the architects of our world. Let’s build a legacy of peace, compassion, and understanding. A world where every life is cherished, and every soul is free to thrive.
