If You’re Not Prepãred To Join Us, You Won’t Be Given Political Appointment in 2027 – APC Chairman
Nentawe Yilwatda, the national chairman of the All Progressive Congress has sent a strong message across amid the recent power tussle between the former governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike and governor Siminalayi Fubara. According to his statements which were shared by ViableTv, he pointed out that anyone who refused to join the party will not be given political appointment in 2027.
The former governor of Rivers State and FCT minister, Nyesom Wike had endured public backlash following his audacious moves to assert dominance in Rivers State politics.
The tussle which led to the defection of governor Siminalayi Fubara to the APC however, failed to yield a peaceful resolution as an impeachment process was instituted against the governor.
However, in a recent statement by the chairman of the APC, Nentawe Yilwatda which was made available to the general public by ViableTv on their official YouTube page, he warned the FCT minister to shift allegiance or face political extinction.
According to his statements, he pointed out that if the FCT minister was not prepared to join them officially, he might not be given political appointment if the party retuned to power in 2027.

“There’s no word called technocrats, they are all political appointees, there is no single word called technocrats. I’m a professor, I’ve consulted several international bodies…Everybody who is cool is a technocrat. Once you are given a political appointment, you are a politician. Simple and short….If you’re not prepared to join us, you shouldn’t be given political appointment.”
