Abuja-based baker searches for husband, unveils ‘30 days to find Mr right’ series

A 29-year-old Abuja-based baker, identified as Damaris, has sparked conversations online after launching a personal video series titled “30 Days to Find Mr Right,” in which she openly documents her journey toward finding a life partner.

In the introductory video shared on X(Formerly Twitter) by Teeniiola on Friday, Damaris explained the purpose of the series while addressing common assumptions about single women searching for love.

“Hi, my name is Damaris and I’m going to be calling this series 30 Days to Find Mr Right. Over the next 30 days, I’ll be telling you about myself in hopes of finding my soulmate. Yes, I am single, I’m searching, but I am not desperate. Don’t confuse the two,” she said.

She noted that the series would showcase her authentic self, including her appearance on different days.

“You’re going to be seeing different looks of me because some days I’ll wear makeup, and some days I’ll be natural like this. This video has no filter, so this is my real face,” she said.

Damaris also shared personal details about her background, age, and career.

“My name is Damaris. I am 29 years old—I recently turned 29 this January. I’m an Igbo babe, Delta Igbo,” she said, adding with a laugh, “I’m a baker by profession. I’ve baked professionally for almost eight years and also run other businesses on the side.”

Describing her personality, she said she considers herself ambitious, observant, and a good listener.

“I’m very ambitious. I’m a great observer and a great listener. I listen more than I talk, but I can also be a big talker. I only talk when I know the other person can listen,” she explained.

She further described herself as an ambivert who balances social energy with a love for solitude.

“I’m not really an extrovert, and I’m not really an introvert either—I’m somewhere in the middle. I can have fun when I want to, but I also love being at home on my bed and enjoying alone time,” she said.

Damaris added that while she is sociable and jovial, she can sometimes be socially awkward.

“I would say I have different personalities, to be fair,” she noted.

Highlighting her love for planning, she said she enjoys organising events, especially for people she cares about.

“I’m a big planner. I like to plan things, especially with people I love. If your wedding is coming up or something like that, I just like to be involved,” she said.

On her living preferences, Damaris was clear about where she hopes to build her life.

“I’m based in Abuja, and honestly, I don’t want to live anywhere else. If I’m in Nigeria, it has to be Abuja, so you should have that at the back of your mind,” she said.

Wrapping up the first episode, she hinted that subsequent days would reveal more about her.

“I think this is enough for day one. We’ll continue on day two—I’ll think of more things to share about myself tomorrow,” she said, adding, “Fingers crossed.”

She also invited interested viewers to reach out to her directly.

“If you like any of these things, or if you think, ‘Oh, this girl can enter my DM,’ I’ll reply,” she said before signing off.

In a caption accompanying the video, Damaris summarised her motivation candidly: “I am almost 30 years old. Join me on my journey as I look for a husband because there’s no time left.”
