Two Arraigned Over N58m Property In Ekiti

The Ekiti State Police Command has arraigned two men, Bamisile Akinwumi (58) and Abiodun Akinwumi (48), at a magistrates’ court sitting in Ado-Ekiti over shop breaking and theft.

The prosecutor, Inspector Akinwale Oriyomi, told the court that on November 29, 2025, at about 4am in Ado-Ekiti, the defendants broke into the shop of one Oladipo Vincent Ajibolumu and stole baby wears and vehicle batteries all valued at N5,000,000:00.

Inspector Oriyomi said the defendants on the same date, time and place, maliciously damaged three vehicles valued at N53,000,000:00, contrary to Sections 421, 324(1) and (2), 302(1)(a), 354(1)(8) of the Criminal Law of Ekiti State 2021.

Counsel to the defendants, Barrister O. G. Abiola, urged the court to admit his clients to bail.

The Magistrate, Mr. Abayomi Adeosun, granted bail of N100,000 with one surety in like sun and adjourned to January 30, 2026.
