World Bank Considers Nigeria’s Fresh $1 Billion Loan Request
The World Bank is set to consider Nigeria’s new $1 billion Development Policy Financing loan on **December 16**, aimed at supporting economic reforms, job creation, and private investment.
The facility—split into a **$500 million IDA credit** and a **$500 million IBRD loan**—is part of the *Nigeria Actions for Investment and Jobs Acceleration* initiative under President Tinubu’s reform agenda.
If approved, the funds will be disbursed in two tranches to boost access to credit, expand digital services, and strengthen inclusive growth.
