Never Too Late”- Elderly Nigerian Man Earns MBBS at University of Calabar

An elderly Nigerian man, Dr. Dien Godwin Asuquo, has inspired many after earning his MBBS degree to become a medical doctor, years after obtaining several nursing qualifications and an MBA.

Before his recent achievement, Dr. Asuquo had earned degrees in registered nursing, psychiatric nursing, and a Master of Business Administration (MBA). Despite his impressive academic record, he went on to pursue his lifelong dream of becoming a doctor.

A flyer shared online showed that he bagged his medical degree from the University of Calabar, with posts celebrating his induction spreading widely on social media.

Friends and well-wishers congratulated him on his perseverance and determination. One user, Ogban Ababa, wrote:
