NAF Strikes Hostile Elements, Sustains Pressure in Multiple Operations Across Kwara
The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has carried out a series of coordinated air operations across several communities in Kwara State, targeting hostile elements and bolstering ground troops in the region.
According to a statement released by Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, Director of Public Relations and Information at NAF Headquarters, the Air Component of Operation Fansan Yamma (OPFY) Sector 3 executed multiple missions on Sunday, September 28, covering Kakihun, Oke-Ode, Babanla, and surrounding areas.
The operations included reconnaissance and close air support designed to deter threats. “Hostile elements sighted east of Babanla were decisively engaged,” the statement said, adding that concurrent surveillance flights monitored key settlements and military positions to provide critical intelligence to ground forces.
NAF emphasized that all missions were successfully completed and reaffirmed its commitment to protecting both troops and civilians, maintaining air superiority, and sustaining pressure on armed groups.
“The NAF assures Nigerians of its unwavering resolve to defend the nation’s territorial integrity and safeguard communities against threats,” Air Commodore Ejodame stated. He urged citizens to remain confident, vigilant, and supportive of the Armed Forces as efforts continue to restore lasting peace and security across the country.
