Primate Elijah Ayodele, the spiritual leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church Worldwide, has clarified his position on recent prophetic warnings concerning Nigeria’s political and economic future.
In a Facebook sermon, Ayodele explained that his prophecies are not meant to instill fear or doom but to guide leaders and citizens to take preventive measures through prayer and strategic actions.
“I am telling you these prophecies, but I’m not saying they should come to pass,” he said. “It is for you to prevent them with prayers if you like.”
Ayodele stressed that divine revelations serve as warnings, not verdicts, adding that the outcomes can change if individuals, leaders, and the nation seek God’s intervention. He cautioned that ignoring spiritual guidance could worsen the country’s challenges, especially in governance and the economy.
The cleric particularly urged President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to prioritize unity and avoid controversial policies that could further divide the nation. He noted that growing ethnic bitterness and political dissatisfaction pose significant threats to national stability and require urgent attention.
Ayodele also highlighted the need for Nigerians to embrace collective responsibility rather than leaving the burden solely on political leaders. According to him, prayers, proactive governance, and unity are essential to overcoming the current crises.
His message comes amid growing political tension and economic strain in the country. Many Nigerians have been expressing dissatisfaction with rising inflation, insecurity, and perceived government shortcomings.
By clarifying his prophecies, Ayodele shifts focus from fear to action, calling on both leaders and citizens to work together in shaping a better future.
